Question 1

Does FolioKit replace RevenueCat?

Accepted Answer

No. FolioKit needs RevenueCat for revenue data. RevenueCat keeps handling purchases and entitlements; FolioKit receives its webhooks and puts each purchase on the same user as your app’s events.

Question 2

I already have RevenueCat customers. Does their history break?

Accepted Answer

No. On apps with existing RevenueCat users the SDK adopts RevenueCat’s existing ID, so past and future purchases stay on the same person.

Question 3

Is there an Android or cross-platform SDK?

Accepted Answer

No. The SDK is native Swift for iOS 16 and later. There is no Android, Flutter or React Native SDK. For websites there is a tracking snippet for landing pages.

Question 4

Do I need to show the ATT prompt?

Accepted Answer

Not for FolioKit. Apple Ads attribution (formerly Apple Search Ads) comes from Apple’s AdServices framework, which needs no ATT prompt, and FolioKit reads no IDFA and does no fingerprinting. Other ad networks are measured with SKAdNetwork conversion values, which are aggregate by design.

Question 5

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

In Postgres (Supabase) in the EU, in Paris. The IP address is used to work out a country at ingest and is not stored. There is no SOC 2 report or DPA paperwork yet.

Question 6

How long does setup take?

Accepted Answer

Your coding agent does most of it. You add the app and paste one prompt; the agent adds the package, instruments your events and confirms through the verification endpoint that they arrive. For revenue, you paste the webhook URL and secret from the app’s settings into RevenueCat once.

Question 7

What happens when paid plans open?

Accepted Answer

Billing is not live yet, so nobody pays today. If you left your email on a paid plan, you get a message when they open. Founder pricing, $15/mo billed annually and locked while you stay subscribed, goes to the first 100 paid accounts in signup order.
